The small town of Revin, in the Ardennes, is preparing to elect its mayor when an unknown individual becomes a candidate. This intruder is none other than a comedian, who is going to drag the whole town into a political fiction.
A documentary film directed by Thomas Paulot (2021).
Thomas Paulot was born in Paris in 1991. After studying at Central Saint Martins in London, he joined the Master Cinéma program at ECAL/HEAD in Switzerland, where he made several films, including Stardom and the medium-length Le Ciel des bêtes, selected at the Rencontres Paris-Berlin and 7ème Lune. He has been co-organizing and programming the FLIMM (Festival Libre du Moyen Métrage) since 2018 at DOC! in Paris. Between 2018 and 2021, he directed his first feature film Municipale (co-written with Milan Alfonsi and Ferdinand Flame), selected by ACID at Cannes in 2021 and released in theaters in 2022. He is a member of the ACID Cannes 2022 programming committee and joined the association's Board of Directors in 2023. Thomas is a regular lecturer at art schools (HEAR) as well as in film options and specialties at the Lycée.

As part of the Close Up festival, the screening of the documentary will be followed by a discussion between director Thomas Paulot and Antoine Collet, associate architect at Collet Muller architectes and teacher at the school.
